In 1945 the Kiwanis Club of Bethesda was formed by local businessmen. Since then the club has contributed millions of dollars to help improve the lives of disadvantaged children in Montgomery County, Maryland. After 64 years the men and women of this Kiwanis Club continue to support their community (check their web site,bethesdakiwanis.com , to learn more about Kiwanis and how to become a member). In 2006 they added another project, this time they are trying to build a baseball field for disabled children and young adults. They believe that every child deserves a chance to play baseball. The project is called the MIRACLE LEAGUE and we are the Miracle League of Montgomery County, MD.
